CNoR/CN-Kinghorn (Dorion) Subdivision MP 132.2-135.8 I (Mackenzie River Bridge)

Video of the former Canadian Northern Railway/CN-Kinghorn (Dorion) Subdivision (MP 181.9-185.5) at Silver Harbour, ON. Features the grade as it skirts the shore of Lake Superior from Mackenzie Beach Road to the 62-foot bridge over the Mackenzie River. On October 28, 1970, a sizeable portion of the grade beside the eastern abutment was washed out. Two locomotives and five box cars of a westbound train plunged into the washout, injuring the three crew members.
