Dog River Station Ellis Station Sunshine Creek Culvert

Ellis Station was located near the community of Sunshine, ON at Milepost 32.8/33.7/3.8.

Initially over shadowed by the nearby station at Dona, Ellis took on greater importance when the line was rerouted in 1924 and it became the first significant station on the line. A water tank was added that year following elimination of Dona, but it was removed prior to 1937. The water tank at Milepost 44.6 (45.3/15.5) was removed at the same time. Like many of the other stations on the line, it was home to a GTP Type “E” station which was constructed in 1912 and removed in 1964.

Ellis and its siding remained in use until the line was abandoned in 1994.
