Sowden

Reba Pit Sowden Station Tannin Station

Sowden Station was located near English River, ON at Milepost 134.5/76.9/135.4/105.5.

Situated on the west bank of the well-known English River, Sowden (pronounced “Sau-den”) had a GTP Type “E” station that was constructed in 1911 or 1914 (sources are conflicted). The station building was removed at some point in the mid 1970s.

Sowden and its siding remained on the line until it was abandoned in 1994.
