Wako/Watcomb
Sturgeon Lake Transportation Wako/Watcomb Station Watcomb Pit
Wako Station was located near Silver Dollar, ON at Milepost 160.3/102.5/161/131.1.
Situated just south of Watcomb Lake, the name was changed from Wako to Watcomb between March and June 1916 for unknown reasons. A usual GTP Type “E” station was constructed here in 1910 or 1911 (sources are conflicted) and remained until it was sold in 1963 or 1964. There was a post office at Watcomb (still known as Wako) from 1913 to 1958.
Watcomb and its siding remained in use until the line was abandoned in 1994.
