Reba Station Reba Pit Sowden Station

The Reba Pit was a ballast pit located just north of Reba Station at Milepost 127.4/98.3.

The pit was established in 1944 and had a 108 car spur attached at the east end. In 1981, the spur was renamed to Reba Pit GR 55 (4350 feet), but was shutdown in 1982. It was reactivated in 1985 through to 1988.
