East Oskondaga River Bridge

Flett Tunnel East Oskondaga River Bridge Griff Station

The East Oskondaga River Bridge is located just east of Griff Station at Milepost 44.6/15.6.

The structure is a 180-foot long, 40-foot high Ballasted Through Plate Girder bridge, which rests on 4 metal piers over the East Oskondaga River. Reconstructed in 1976, it replaced a previous wood trestle.

Just east of the bridge (approximately 1 mile east of Griff Station) was a water tank located at Milepost 44.5/45.3. It was in use from prior to 1915 (there was a tank at MP 49.1 in 1908 that was moved) until 1923 when it was shifted to Ellis.
