Mack Station George Station Knowlton Station

George Station was located near Graham, ON at Milepost 95.1/65.9.

Situated between Mack and Knowlton/Graham, George was another anomalous station that did not fit with the GTP alphabetical naming pattern as it was added in 1923. Because of this, it also unknown what type of station building was located here, if any. The origins of the name George is unexplained, but a suggestion could be that with the loss of the station name Knowlton (named after Chief Engineer George Knowlton) when it was changed to Graham, his first name may have been used for the new station.

In 1967, its siding was taken out of use and in 1973 the station itself was removed. It was resurrected by 1986, albeit without the siding. George was the highest elevation station on the line at 1670 feet, more than 1050 feet above its origin point at Fort William/Thunder Bay.

George remained a station on the line until it was abandoned in 1994.
