Silver Harbour
Amethyst Station Silver Harbour Station Wild Goose Station
Silver Harbour was a station on the railway located at Milepost 134.5/184.2.
Nothing more than a flag stop, it sported a water tank which was removed in 1930 and the station and siding were removed prior to 2005.
On October 28, 1970, a serious washout and derailment occurred 1.1 miles east of the station at the bridge over the Mackenzie River (MP 182.9). A sudden rush of water on the river washed out the grade on the east side of the bridge, causing 2 locomotives and 5 box cars of a westbound train to plunge into the depression. All three crewmen were injured.
